On Oct. 27, Gov. Jared Polis spoke at UCCS at an event sponsored by the UCCS College Democrats to get extra exposure before the upcoming election.
With a turnout of around 100 students, Polis expressed his interest in policies including providing free universal preschool to families across Colorado, as well as moving forward with renewable energy and reducing emissions. Polis also expressed his stance on abortion and contraceptive care, codifying the right to both in the Reproductive Health Equity Act.
