2023 marks the 60th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech. MOSAIC is seeking to embody the key components of Dr. King’s vision and reinvigorate the community during this year’s MLK Days of Service and Action.
MOSAIC hosts these days of service and action to give students an opportunity to give back to the community through workshops and on-campus events.
The events begin on Wednesday, Feb. 1 from 5-7 p.m. in Berger Hall with a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Keynote. It will include a dinner and celebration in memory of Dr. King and his historic activism.
One of the biggest goals MOSAIC wants to achieve this year is to show how important everyone is in the process of creating a healthier community. Students should expect various opportunities to participate in workshops and community service activities, several of which were proposed by students themselves.
These opportunities seek to reinvigorate the UCCS community in its commitment to diversity while also highlighting the work done by other organizations.
These days of service and action are an opportunity for students to strengthen their bond with the UCCS community.
Students looking to participate in the MLK Days of Service and Action should RSVP online on Mountain Lion Connect.
