PHOTOSPREAD | UCCS Farm holds first Bunnies in the Store event

On Sept. 12, students had the opportunity to meet and pet the UCCS Farm’s two male lop eared rabbits, Jaq and Gus Gus, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the campus store. The Farm acquired the rabbits over the summer.

“I love animals, and I know that the bunnies are new, and I haven’t heard of them before, and I saw the poster that they were advertising, so I thought I’d stop by,” said sophomore Mary Sue Hauser. “I really liked it and they’re so soft and I feel like it just makes like my day better.”

“I thought bunnies would be a good thing to do before my lecture in psychology,” said student Ariyana Barraza. “If I could stay here all day I would.”

The UCCS Farm plans on having more Bunnies in the Store events once or twice a month. “We just want to spread awareness for the farm,” said UCCS Farm student manager Elizabeth Lansdell.
