Six on women’s soccer team earn named to RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll
Six players on the women’s soccer team were named to the RMAC Women’s Soccer All-Academic Honor Roll last week.
Players include junior Savannah Boarman, senior Sammie Brown, redshirt sophomore Makenna Fuhrmann, junior Evelina Hellgren, senior Bailee Jameson and senior Bethany Leliefeld.
RMAC sports information directors voted on players to receive the award. A student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 and be an active student at their college for two semester to be eligible.
Men’s basketball earns No. 7 in RMAC Preseason Poll
The men’s basketball team was picked to finish in Nov. 7 in the RMAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll on Oct. 23. The team earned 127 voting points this season.
The team will open the season with two exhibition games this week. On Nov. 3, they will play against Yellowstone Christian College and against Colorado College on Nov. 4.
The team will also begin their regular season on Nov. 10-11 in Stephenville, Texas at the Texan Tip-Off Classic.
Diwali rescheduled
Diwali, the festival of lights, has been rescheduled for Nov. 4. Students can attend the event at 6 p.m. in Berger Hall. The event was originally scheduled for Oct. 28.
Bollywood dance, games and food will be included at the event, which is hosted by the Indian Student Alliance.
