U.S. News & World Report has ranked several of UCCS’ online programs as some of the best in the nation.
Of the elected colleges, each received various awards. According to an article from Communique, the Online MBA Program won 58th place for Best Online MBA Program and was top three in the state of Colorado for both MBA and MBA for Veterans top three in the state of Colorado for both MBA and MBA for Veterans.
The College of Engineering and Applied Science was ranked 72nd in the nation for Best Online Master’s in Engineering Programs, which also landed it in the top three in the state of Colorado.
According to UCCS’ course catalog, The College of Engineering and Applied Science focuses on “the application of scientific theories and resources of nature for the benefit of humanity.”
The College of Education was ranked 58th in the nation for the Best Online Master’s in Education Program, and 21st for Best Online Master’s in Education Program for Veterans. These rankings landed it in first place in the state of Colorado for both the Online Master’s Program and Online Master’s Program for Veterans.
The description of the College of Education on UCCS’ website says, “we prepare teachers, leaders and counselors to work in local, regional, national and international settings. We are comprised of hallmark programs that are grounded in research, evidence-based practice, and equity and social justice.”
The Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences was ranked 24th in the nation for Best Online Master’s in Nursing Program, which landed it at number two in the state of Colorado. The Veteran’s Program was ranked sixth in the nation, and number one in the state of Colorado.

Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences says, “We want you to reach your health care career goal, which is why we offer exactly what you need to succeed: innovations in teaching and research, hands-on learning, and knowledgeable and experienced faculty.”
The School of Public Affairs was ranked at 14th for the Best Online Master’s of Criminal Justice Program and 9th for Best Online Master’s of Criminal Justice Program for Veterans, earning it a number one spot in the state of Colorado.
