Fires Near Highway 115
Highway 115 has been closed south of Colorado Springs, as of Sunday night due to approximately 200 acres of fire activity in the area. Thirty-five homes in the area were evacuated Sunday as a result of the fire. The highway closures are expected to last into the week this week. Check local news for updates.
COVID-19 at UCCS
A total of 30 positive cases have been reported at UCCS, with two new cases as of last week. Out of the total cases, three are still active and four of UCCS’ 33 isolation rooms are currently occupied.
COVID-19 in Colorado
There have been 78,727 cases in Colorado, to date, and 2,134 statewide deaths. Nearly 979 new cases were reported in Colorado on Oct. 10, revealing an increase in the trend from 475 cases reported one week before on Oct. 3.
