SCRIBBLE | 50 student parking spaces reserved for made-up reasons and imaginary friends

Parking services reserved 10 parking spots for their imaginary friends in addition to the 40 spots an actual person probably reserved a permit for.

Unauthorized vehicles parked in the six spots designated for AMS vehicles, the two spots for permits no one seems to have and the 32 of the most convenient spots in front of University Center — blocked off with cones for reasons unknown — will be stripped for parts immediately.

“We made the decision to reserve these spots because of multiple complaints from our imaginary friends about damage to their imaginary vehicles because no one can see them but us,” Parking and Transportation Services employee Otto Parrs said.

According to Parrs, students should start looking for parking 12 hours before their classes start to ensure they are not late.

“I live right up the road — you can literally see my house from here, but I still had to leave at 9:25 [p.m.] for my 9:25 a.m., my roommate tried to take the shuttle for his 10:50 [a.m.], but he missed the last stop of the night,” frisbee golf major Josh Inaroun said.

Shuttle service delays can also be expected due to traffic from commuters who refuse to park in Gateway Garage and loop through the parking lot waiting for a spot to open up.

“I drove around the UC parking lot for two hours and blew through a tank of gas for a spot. I could’ve parked in the garage, but it’s more of a pride thing at this point,” art of detachment major Cy Nara said.

Students can find overflow parking in the residential areas off campus, because that isn’t Parking and Transportation Services’ problem at that point.
