Hopping from one test to another during midterms can be exhausting, so take a little break and watch Disney Pixar’s new animated feature: “Hoppers.”
Mabel’s (Piper Curda) beloved glade is being deforested for a new highway. Using technology which places her consciousness in a robotic beaver, Mabel must assemble the wildlife in the area to fight and take back their habitat.
Daniel Chong’s directing takes a heartwarming approach to environmentalism. This film is jam-packed with lovable characters. The animation is adorable, and absolutely full of that classic Pixar charm.
I couldn’t help but laugh the whole way through this sci-fi comedy. The jokes land for all age groups. The non-linear storytelling of Mabel and her dynamic with her grandmother creates an emotional drama that really pulls the heart strings.
Not only did the drama itself get me emotional, but Mark Mothersbaugh’s musical score was brilliant. It played its role in the film exceptionally, whether it was building anxiety in action sequences or tearing you apart through heartbreaking flashbacks.
Instead of being stressed about midterms, be stressed over finding time to watch this movie.
