Students have always been told to stop clowning around in school, but playing the fool is the name of the game at this event.
The Ent Center will host the Clown Spectacular on May 7 from 7-9 p.m. The performance, coordinated by the dance program, will show off the acts students have made throughout the semester.
Kevin Landis, professor and director of the Theatre & Dance Program as well as a professional actor, has been helping with the event since it started 16 years ago. These clown showcases happen every other year.
“Our clown show is a culmination of a semester of training and it promises to be a delightful evening — always funny and often very personal and touching,” Landis said.
This event will last an hour and 15 minutes, with around 20 minutes dedicated to each clown performance. This will include their make-up, songs, talents, and more.
The Clown Spectacular is free, but students have to reserve a ticket through this site.
