UCCS Restaurant Discount Day

    UCCS students can receive a 20 percent discount on food Nov. 16 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

    By showing their student ID, students will have the opportunity to receive a discount at the Rockrimmon Salsa Brava, located at 802 Village Center Dr., and the University Village Over Easy, located at 5262 N. Nevada Ave.

Lion’s Den Pitch Night

    On Nov. 16, six businesses will pitch their ventures from 5 – 7 p.m. in Berger Hall. The event is presented by the El Pomar Institute for Innovation & Commercialization and Peak Startup.

    The event will follow the structure of ABC’s Shark Tank. Entrepreneurs will have five minutes to pitch their deals to a panel of entrepreneurs and investors.

    The top pitch, first place, will win a prize of $1,000, while the second place pitch will win $750 in prize money.

University Choir Directed by Solveig Olsen

    Students can attend a performance by the university choir on at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 17 in the Centennial Hall auditorium.

    The UCCS Music Program will present this event directed by Solveig Olsen, instructor of voice, aural skills and the university choir.

‘Blackademics’

    The UCCS Theatre Company will present “Blackademics,” through Nov. 19.

    Students can attend the show, written by local playwright Idris Goodwin and directed by theater instructor Roy Ballard, Nov. 17-19 from 8-10 p.m. in the Osbourne Studio.

    The show is free to students with a valid UCCS ID and costs $5 for general admission for those without.
