Class registration to begin
Class registration will begin for select students on Oct. 23. Students should have received an email notifying them of their enrollment appointment date and time on Oct. 9.
The date is determined by a student’s academic level and status at UCCS. If a student is of a higher standing (i.e. junior or senior standing), they will be able to register at an earlier date.
For more information, contact the Office of the Registrar at [email protected].
Chancellor Reddy participates in trade mission trip
Alongside 11 other business and academic leaders and state officials, Chancellor Venkat Reddy attended a seven-day trade mission trip led by Governor John Hickenlooper.
The trip sought to open and expand markets for Colorado companies. Reddy represented higher education in Colorado alongside JB Holston, dean of the Daniel Felix Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Denver.
The group visited Delhi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru where they met Indian government officials, participated in a reception hosted by the U.S. Embassy in Delhi and spoke with leaders of various companies.
Nine faculty members named ethics champions
The Daniels Ethics Fund Initiative named nine faculty members outside of UCCS ethics champions this month. All nine are instructors, professors, department chairs or faculty of a Colorado college or university.
Faculty attended a workshop led by Tracy Gonzalez-Pardon, director of the Daniels Ethics Fund Initiative, where they learned about principle-based ethics curriculums and applying it to their campuses.
The faculty members represent two- and four-year colleges that are part of the Southern Colorado Education Consortium. This organization allows colleges to share resources that improve access to higher education.
