Incidents on campus
In February, UCCS police have arrested a minor in San Juan House for possession and consumption of alcohol and arrested a student for the possession of marijuana in Antero House. Police responded to two reports of criminal mischief in residential housing and two reports of illegal dumping.
Seventeen crimes were logged on campus by UCCS police in January, including a report of harassment in Crestone House and multiple reports of theft.
There were a total of 23 on-campus crime reports in December 2016 including a report of sexual assault at the Lodge, a report of harassment in Monarch Hall and six liquor violations.

Feb. 14 10:04 p.m.
“…officers…were notified of a car fire near 2800 N. El Paso St. Upon officer’s arrival, fire department personnel had the small car fire extinguished. The damage to the car was minimal and contained to the interior of the vehicle. The origin of the fire is suspicious and will be investigated by fire investigators. Police were unable to locate any suspect information. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.”

Feb. 12, 11:10 p.m.
“Officers were dispatched… on a burglary alarm coming from the back door. Officer Hausman arrived on scene within five minutes. Officer Hausman reported a white impala fled from the scene at a high rate of speed directly at him. He also reported one male who fled on foot. The back door of the business was pried open. Containment was set and a K9 track was attempted with no success.”
