The UCCS baseball team played Adams State in a four-game series losing 3-1. The Mountain Lions lost 7-6 in the first game and 10-8 in the second game concluding the double header.
UCCS took a 4-3 win in the first game on the second doubleheader and lost the second game 10-3.
Outfielder Kit Wigington, infielder Alec Gomez and infielder Caleb Stubbings finished with two hits in the first game in the series. Outfielder Hayden Iverson, catcher Tyler Richardson, outfielder Kasey Campbell and Gomez also finished with two hits to conclude the first double header and the second game in the series.
April 28 was Senior Day, recognizing six seniors for the Mountain Lions. Iverson, Gomez, Richardson and Campbell each had two hits in the third game of the series and the first of the double header on Senior Day. Wigington, Gomez, and Richardson all added two hits in the fourth and final game of the series.
Up next, the Mountain Lions will travel to Golden to play Colorado School of Mines on May 3 in a four-game series. May 8 marks the start of the first round in the RMAC Tournament.
