PHOTOSPREAD | Women’s basketball defeats Colorado School of Mines, advances to RMAC Semifinals for first time since 2017

The Mountain Lions women’s basketball team beat the Colorado School of Mines Orediggers, 71-65 in the RMAC quarterfinal to advance them to the RMAC semifinal for the first time since the 2016-17 season. 

#23 Amyah Moore Allen was the leading scorer with 17 points, followed by #13 Breelyn Robinson and #14 Krystina Hagood with 14 points. #2 Emily Vidal was the fourth-leading scorer with 11 points.  

#24 Maison White finished with 10 rebounds and #20 Rylie Ottmann ended with five rebounds and three assists.  

Up next, the Mountain Lions will travel to Denver to play CSU Pueblo in the RMAC Semifinals on Mar. 8. The other semifinal game will be played by Adams State University and Regis University, and the winners of each will play on Mar. 9 in the RMAC Championship for a trip to the NCAA Division II Tournament.

#2 Emily Vidal records the first of two free throws in the final three seconds of the game to boost UCCS to a 71-to-65-point victory.
