SCRIBBLE | Sennifer Jobanet accidently mass emails grocery list for Thanksgiving to students

Last Thursday, Chancellor Sennifer Jobanet mass emailed her entire Thanksgiving grocery list to every UCCS student, along with her plans for the evening.

In a following email, Jobanet attempted to attribute the initial message to a mis-click, but UCCS students have deemed Jobanet’s Thanksgiving party a national holiday that is sure to be a hit.

“I figured I don’t have anywhere better to go,” said Jacob Robins, a student who lives in Cragmor Neighborhood with four generations of Robins.

“I mean, she’s gonna have green bean casserole, that sounds pretty neato,” Robins said.

As of Sunday, 5,000 students have RSVPed to the email, noting that the stuffing sounded immaculate. Students say that they will all meet up at campus and go over to Jobanet’s one story, two bed, one bath ranch house in Cragmor.

The list also included classics such as turkey and cranberry sauce. However, controversy began when ingredients for the infamous sweet potatoes casserole with marshmallows on top reared its head near the bottom of the list.

“Now, I take a great deal of issue with that,” said grad student Ronald Reinhardt. Reinhardt has been eating Thanksgiving meals for 14 straight years and has participated in over 20 Thanksgivings in his lifetime, only taking a short break in the fall of ‘08 for a family vacation in Bosnia.

“I don’t say this often, but that looks promising,” Reinhardt said, eyeing the pecan pie slated for the dessert portion of the meal.

Many students were appreciative of the classic approach Jobanet was taking to Thanksgiving. However, some were dismayed.

“No turkey tacos? I won’t be caught dead in that pigsty,” Alyssa Prescott said.

Other students are calling Thanksgiving not good.

“Thanksgiving is not good,” said Breaker of Wind, or, as his friends call him, Greg.

Robins still noted that it will be an event to remember.

“This will be the best night of my life; until I go scuba diving this summer,” Robins said.

At press time, the email was forwarded to the entire state of Wyoming, skyrocketing the number of RSVPs to 6,000. It’s reported many Wyoming residents are using it to temporarily escape Wyoming.

It’s also reported that many Wyoming residents are using Thanksgiving as a Thanksgiving to escape Thanksgiving.
