Staff Picks: What president we would want to spend a girl’s night with

President’s Day is today, and it gives us an opportunity to reflect on all the men who have held the office of president. Since there hasn’t been a female president yet, what better way to celebrate than to imagine the vibes they would bring to a girl’s night?

The Scribe staff share what president they would want to spend a girl’s night with, for reasons ranging anywhere from spilling the tea to sharing playlists.

Zee O’Donnell | Co-Editor-in-Chief

James K. Polk because I feel like you gotta be pretty cool to have a They Might Be Giants song written about you.

Joe Impellitteri | Co-Editor-in-Chief

Me and Herbert Hoover. I’d be like “What is the deal with politics right now? I mean, dam.”

Ellie Myers | Associate Editor

I’d love to have a girl’s night with Abe Lincoln. We could go see a show together and I’d pick a less visible seat.

Tori Smith | Managing Editor

Obama but only if he brings Michelle.

Grace Brajkovich | News Editor

Barack.

Kaylie Foster | Features Editor

Obama, because I want access to the playlists.

Lillian Davis | Sports Editor and Photo Editor

I don’t know the presidents like that.

Syanna Santiago-Smith | Website Manager

George W. Bush. We can go mini-golfing and spill the tea (he may or may not know something the American population doesn’t know).

Kate Marlett | Copy Editor

John Adams, without a doubt. He was so sassy and I know he would have so much tea to spill on all the other founding fathers.

Weston Buhr | Business Manager

Theodore Roosevelt, for sure!!!

Laura Austin-Eurich | Faculty Advisor

I’m holding off until we have a female president.

Livi Davis | Reporter

Men don’t belong at girl’s night.

Abigail Katharin | Reporter

Teddy Roosevelt, but over a campfire and only if he invites a bear.

Ava Knox | Reporter

JIMMY CARTER.

Noah March | Reporter

Abraham Lincoln.

Rhianna Smith-Burns | Reporter

FDR, specifically with his fireside chats.

Logan Cole | Photographer

Obama, so I can add Creed to the President’s playlists.

Josiah Dolan | Photographer

I’d definitely have to choose my bestie, Teddy Roosevelt. He’d be the life of the party, but he was also apparently a good listener.

Anysia Hovel | Photographer

George Washington, cuz he cool.
