The Denver Broncos have made a splash in free agency, signing a multitude of players. New coach Josh McDaniels is wiping out the team that Mike Shanahan built and rapidly changing its look. Key additions have been the excellent but aging Brian Dawkins, the average Jabar Gaffney, running backs Correll Buckhalter, LaMont Jordan, and J.J. Arrington, backup quarterback Chris Simms and long snapper Lonnie Paxton. There isn’t much to get excited about with these players, but McDaniels is building the team the Patriot way. He is getting high character guys and letting the incumbent Broncos know that they are all expendable. Nobody is bigger than the team, and September can’t come soon enough for the new-look Broncos.
