Voices of UCCS: fall fashion inspiration

Colorado weather can be tricky to plan outfits around, especially as we enter fall. The mornings are chilly, afternoons are sunny and there is usually a short rain shower somewhere in the middle.

Here are what eight students around campus are wearing to combat the ever-changing weather and to fit in with the aesthetics of autumn.

Violyt Schubert, senior social work major (she/they)

Violyt’s style inspiration is their mom, circa 2004.

David Maldonado, junior computer engineering major (he/him)

David prefers to be comfortable, so he is finding ways to bridge comfy and nice fashion.

Aya Abdulsattar, senior psychology major (she/her)

Aya has recently been inspired by some of the fashion stores she saw in London while studying abroad. She also gets a lot of input and inspiration from one of her stylish friends.

Tristan Snook, junior math major (he/him)

Tristan typically incorporates earth tones and inspiration from his dad, whom he inherited much of his wardrobe from.

Audrey Hemphill, freshman property management and real estate major (she/her)

Audrey’s fashion inspiration at the moment is anything cute and comfortable.

Kai Morris, junior psychology major (he/they)

Kai is inspired by their mom’s punk style from the 1990s.

Ava Hoeper, freshman undeclared major (she/her)

Ava is inspired by the current trends and whatever she sees on Instagram.

Dominik Goodman, freshman theatre and dance major (he/him)

Dominik’s inspiration at the moment is whatever is comfy and doesn’t look too bad.
