UCCS International Affairs (IA) has opened applications for ten short-term study abroad programs running during spring and summer break. Application deadlines have been extended due to increasing interest and applicants.
Short-term programs are led by faculty members and allow students to study specific topics abroad with other students while earning course credits. Students can also apply to study abroad without earning course credit and pay a lower rate.
Student applicants seeking credit for the programs will be prioritized and billed tuition on their UCCS account at their regular student rate for the term.
The final program costs are non-refundable and include the IA registration fee, program fee, ground transportation, accommodations and entrance fees.
UCCS tuition, additional meals—defined as meals not included in the trip itinerary—travel/trip protection insurance, tipping and personal spending money are not included. Flight coverage varies per program.
“Really it comes down to an international experience that is an opportunity to learn amazing lifelong things, get different perspectives, get to meet new people and try very unique things,” said the Education Abroad Program Director Telma Frumholtz.

“It could be as silly as trying a new food or as amazing as like making a connection at one of these business visits or one of the universities that you study abroad at and getting to maybe make a connection to do research later or to have this crazy cool person on your resume then call back to and say, hey, this is a great reference,” Frumholtz said.
