Enrollment for the fall 2026 semester begins April 13 and shopping carts are open, which helps students save time when registering and increases the likelihood of enrolling in all desired classes.
The Office of Registrar emailed all students their exact registration day and time, but students can also find that information by going to their myUCCS Portal, selecting Records and Registration, Register for Classes, Enrollment Appointments and then the fall 2026 semester.
To add classes to a shopping cart, students should access their myUCCS Portal and select “Register for Classes” under the student center section on the homepage. After selecting fall 2026, students can search for classes and select which ones to add.
The class search can be filtered by curriculum requirements, including subject, credit amount, meeting times and college.
All students are prompted to complete several pre-registration tasks before officially adding classes, including a pre-orientation process for incoming students.
Students may be prevented from enrolling due to pre-registration requirements, account holds or other barriers. Any account holds will be listed in the student’s myUCCS portal.
A list of common holds and how to resolve them can be found here.
When enrolling, students can navigate to their shopping cart, select the classes they want to enroll in and then click “Finish Enrolling.”
Once the process is complete, students can select “View My Classes/Schedule” to ensure they enrolled in the correct courses.
Students who are unsure which courses to take can access their degree audit in their myUCCS Portal, which lists all their degree requirements and includes which requirements are already completed.
There are also four-year degree plans for all majors on the academic advising website.
Students can also contact their academic advisor for help enrolling.
All students are assigned at least one academic advisor. According to Sam Stansel, an LAS academic advisor, it is best for students to meet with their advisor at least once a semester to ensure they are enrolled in the correct courses and on track to graduate.
“It is your academic advisor’s full-time job to help you plan out your degree and understand your curriculum and explore all of the wonderful academic opportunities that this university offers. We are a resource for you, so use us,” Stansel said.
