Reported attempted kidnapping (10 minutes from UCCS)
1400 Block N. Murray Blvd.
Sept. 7, 3:20 p.m.
Stetson Hills Officers responded to a reported attempted kidnapping. Upon arrival, a 17-year old female said she was approached by four males in a red Jeep SUV with unknown plates.
The victim reported that the driver exited the vehicle, spoke to her on the sidewalk and grabbed her by the wrist. The victim pulled away from the male and continued walking north bound, while the vehicle headed south bound. No arrests have been made, and no other incidents have occurred. The investigation is ongoing.
Burglaries (10 minutes from UCCS)
8175 Trafalger Drive
Sept. 7, 1 p.m.
An investigation for several burglaries of active construction sites culminated in the arrest of one adult male, Cody Gracy, and one adult female, Marisa Garrett. The investigation began in July and led to the residence of the arrested individuals.
Several thousand dollars-worth of stolen construction equipment was found and recovered from the residence.
Armed Robbery (Eight minutes from UCCS)
1700 West Uintah Street
Sept. 6, 8:55 a.m.
A private courier making a delivery was approached by a white male while she was unloading her vehicle. The suspect pointed a gun at her and stole her vehicle.
Officers located her vehicle one block away, abandoned. Multiple items had been taken from the vehicle, including an undisclosed amount of prescription narcotics.
Robbery (11 minutes from UCCS)
5820 Barnes Road
Sept. 2, 11:10 a.m.
Officers responded to a reported robbery at the Security Service Federal Credit Union at 5820 Barnes Road, where an adult male had presented a note to a teller demanding money. The suspect left the premises, and no employees or customers were physically harmed.
