The priority filing date for FAFSA and need-based UCCS scholarships is March 1.
The Office of Financial Aid has resources available for students who need help filling out 2025-2026 FAFSA and scholarship forms.
On Feb. 21 and 28, the Office of Financial Aid is hosting FAFSAfest from 11 a.m-2 p.m in Cragmor Hall Room 201. This event aims to help students complete the FAFSA form. During the sessions, students have the option to fill out the form with the help of a financial aid counselor or they can ask clarifying questions before filling it out themselves.
The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management and Financial Aid, Jevita Rogers, emphasized the Office of Financial Aid’s willingness to help. “The major piece that I want students to understand is … the whole reason our office exists is to help students and their families find peace, to finance their education. So, we’re always here for students, in person, online, through email or by telephone, to help them through that.”
Need-based UCCS scholarships that require information from the FAFSA form are also due on March 1. UCCS scholarship applications as well as external scholarship resources can be found on the Financial Aid and Student Employment Website. This page also has general application tips and frequently asked questions.
Students can meet with a financial aid counselor to get assistance with either application process by emailing [email protected] to make an appointment, either in person or virtually. The Office of Financial Aid also accepts walk-ins. The office is located on the third floor of Cragmoor Hall, and its hours are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
