May might start off with having to reorganize plans, but by the end of the month, things should begin to take root and even out.
On May 2, Pluto enters retrograde, meaning Pluto will begin to spin backwards. Sometimes, people misunderstand the planet’s symbolism. Pluto is a slow-moving planet with a 246-year cycle, and just this year it has entered Aquarius once again. The sign of Pluto’s journey represents a new era on Earth.
Pluto will go backwards into Capricorn again during its yearly five month retrograde. This is the slow process of entering an era of innovative technological advancement.
May is the Taurus season with a new Moon on May 7 in Taurus. On May 16, Mercury enters Taurus, and the Sun enters Taurus on May 21. These planet movements will bring a chance to consolidate and create something of beauty in the material world. It is a perfect time to nourish new plans.
The May 23 full Moon is in Scorpio. It should be a day to engage with others and create new bonds.
On May 24, Venus enters Gemini, kicking off a time for new adventures and activities as we may begin to feel bored with the normal pace of life.
Jupiter also enters Gemini May 26, and this will aid in the new expansions on Earth. However, people should beware of making unrealistic plans.
All these celestial changes have effects on everyone. Below are the general effects for each Sun zodiac sign.
Aries, March 21 – April 19
During the beginning of the month, Aries may lack confidence from the previous month’s solar eclipse and the unease from Pluto in retrograde. No worries — Taurus season is a time to become grounded once again.
During the May 7 Moon, Aries should make plans to regain confidence and indulge their impulses this new year. Later, when Mercury, the planet of communication, enters Taurus, Aries will be able to slow their eager minds.
As Aries is constantly looking ahead, the next few weeks will help them keep their minds in the present and remember what they find important now.
Taurus, April 20 – May 20
Happy birthday, dear Taurus. It’s been another year around the Sun.
Taurus, what’s your status? As it is your birthday season, it’s time to reflect on what you have recently accomplished.
Though you are so often trying to stay realistic and look to the future, don’t forget to step back and look at all that you have accomplished. During the first week of May when Pluto begins retrograding, you may need to take a break to adjust to the energy change.
When the Moon is entering your home sign, creativity will bloom all around your ideas. By the new moon on May 7, you will feel recharged and should use this energy to set your intentions higher.
Gemini, May 21 – June 20
Geminis may have been feeling at a loss of thought or stimuli. With many of the planets, especially the Sun and Moon, entering Taurus, life may seem to become more alive, which will be great for the beginning of the summer.
Your recent lack of inspiration may have been the universe’s way of giving you a needed break from the back and forth thinking you’ve been doing. Gemini being ruled by Mercury encourages your natural love of communicating, which may also have impacted you recently with pointless thoughts.
You will feel much more inspired to talk to others after the May 26 full Moon. Jupiter entering your home sign will also expand your mind, which will physically expand your energy.
Cancer, June 21 – July 22
Fellow Cancerians, are you burnt out from all the major celestial impact on Earth too? Luckily, with the new Moon in Taurus, we will be able to feel more rooted and enjoy calm after the chaos.
Mercury entering Taurus gives you the ability to turn ideas into something palpable. Use the time to plan how you’ll make it a reality.
The full Moon in Scorpio will bring new heightened and exciting emotions. However, Cancers may feel like there is too much to accomplish at once. Remember to have a reasonable list, or you risk becoming overwhelmed with blossoming ideas.
Leo, July 23 – August 22
Leo, the solar eclipse only added to your radiant light. Hopefully you have not been taking too many risks, though, as Pluto in retrograde may cause some confusion about where to go next.
Use the Taurus energy in the coming month to express new ideas but don’t get carried away. Taurus will force you to be realistic.
As Venus enters Gemini on May 24, Leo should remember to show their grateful attitude to others. This will remind others and themselves of Leo’s generosity and can create a new life path to evolve. Set your intentions by using your good energy.
Virgo, August 23 – September 22
As Pluto enters retrograde, Virgos may feel a bit dismissed in their challenges. This can feel challenging for Virgos as they have a standard for their goals. Luckily, Virgo can be versatile.
However, during the new Moon in Taurus on May 7, Virgos have a window to show ingenuity, talent and charm. Virgos who are searching to apply for new opportunities should take the leap during this time.
During the end of the month, the energy stays consistent for Virgos with the chance to expand after proving their skills.
Libra, September 23 – October 22
Libras have a considerate heart, but with Pluto in retrograde they may be feeling more complacent. Libras desire reassurance, and when they are feeling uncertain about what steps to take in a situation, they have to make a plan.
If Libra needs to settle a dispute or make a final decision, the strong Taurus energy in the month of May will help align plans and help Libra feel more secure.
Perhaps with Venus in Gemini, Libra will finally get to see their plans put into action. Jupiter in Gemini reminds Libra to stay realistic, and not give up hope. Libra often expects the energy from Jupiter to help give the best to everyone, and while it can work out that way, they may be overly optimistic.
Scorpio, October 23 – November 21
Scorpio is perceptive of the changing energies. From the previous month with the solar eclipse, they may be feeling a bit dragged down from all the events in the sky and on Earth. Scorpio should use the beginning of the month to rest and recharge for the rest of the month and the upcoming summer.
Don’t seclude yourself too much, though, Scorpio. May 23 is the full Moon in Scorpio. This should help Scorpios finally feel fully recharged, meaning it is a great time to reach out to friends. Others will be pleasantly surprised by the reinforced energy extending from your passion.
Venus in Gemini May 24 may excite Scorpios to continue using up their energy, but Jupiter entering Gemini two days later reminds Scorpios to not overextend themselves.
Sagittarius, November 22 – December 21
Sagittarius has been pushing full steam ahead. They may be wondering if their attention to their vision will pay off. The new Moon is a grand time to make sure others are fully on board with the next step of your ideas.
The energy from Venus, the ruler of Taurus, may have Sagittarians acting a bit naively. Remember to stay curious and learn all the information before starting a new project, relationship or opportunity.
Sagittarians have a habit of being impatient or tempted by not fully developed ideals. Jupiter in Gemini should add a positive light, but there is always the reminder to read all the terms and conditions before signing.
Capricorn, December 22 – January 19
Capricorns, it’s time to look on the bright side of things. Start dreaming, you often think too practically. The new Moon in Taurus will be a good time to send out new visions for the future. The grounding energy of Taurus will align with your respective ideas.
Later in the month, the full Moon opens new opportunities to reunite with your friends. It is a great time to celebrate your friendship and remind them of your care and loyalty for them.
Venus in Gemini will help your dreams expand, so it’s a reminder to have big goals because they can be accomplished if you have the will for it.
Aquarius, January 20 – February 18
Aquarians, you may have felt like you just started gaining your stride. Even if Pluto in retrograde slows you down, remind yourself that there will be a refresh for your energy in the upcoming months.
The Taurus energy with the Sun and Moon is a good time to create the next tasks on your list. The full Moon in Scorpio reminds Aquarians not to ignore their relationships by getting lost in their thoughts.
With Venus entering Gemini, this is a good time for the first few stepping-stones for your next task. Remember, there is a time and place for everything, and do not forget about the present.
Pisces, February 19 – March 20
Pisces has been doing a lot of adjusting recently, but a stable time has finally arrived in the form of Taurus grounding energy. Sit back and use your imagination to figure out how you can use all the new changes to your best advantage.
The full Moon in Scorpio will encourage Pisces’ intuitive nature. It may feel easier to be thoughtful and empathize with others now. However, Pisces, do not let these feelings burden you.
Jupiter in Gemini is going to open a new area of life for you. Stay realistic and generous for future growth.
