UCCS rated gold-level in military-friendliness

UCCS was recognized alongside 15 other public institutions to be of gold-level status out of a pool of 750 other recognized institutions. According to UCCS Communique, around 20 percent of students at UCCS have direct ties to the U.S. military.

Recognized by Victory Media, a small business owned and operated by service-disabled veterans that connects service members to civilian employment opportunities, UCCS will be included, among the other campuses recognized, in a list in the December issue of “G.I. Jobs,” a periodical which provides resources for jobs and schooling opportunities to the veteran community.

Colorado Springs Gazette ranks UCCS as a best workplace

According to UCCS Communique, the Colorado Springs Gazette named UCCS as one of the best places to work in El Paso County.

In order to rank third in the county, following the Pikes Peak Library District and School District 11, UCCS employees answered a survey about organizational health, engagement and leadership, their work-life balance, training, pay, benefits and corporate responsibility. The Gazette then used these factors to determine the best-ranking workplaces in the county.

These rankings were featured in the Dec. 3 edition of the Gazette.
