Incidents in the surrounding area:

Burglary: 3900 Block N. Academy Blvd. (7 minutes from UCCS).

Oct. 24, 3:30 a.m.

Officers were dispatched to a burglary alarm at a local business on the 3900 block of N. Academy Blvd. When officers arrived on scene, they observed at least two suspects in the business where the alarm had activated. As containment was being established, the suspects fled on foot from the business and a foot pursuit ensued. A pre-planned strategy and well-coordinated effort involving officers from all divisions led to the capture of the two suspects without any injuries sustained by the suspects or officers.

One suspect was identified as 19-year old Brandon Hall and the second suspect was a juvenile male. Evidence suggests that these individuals were involved in multiple business burglaries that occurred during the early morning hours of Oct. 24. The investigation is continuing.
