Incidents on campus

December 2016

     A total of 23 on-campus crimes were reported in December 2016.

     The Lodge – one sexual assault report Monarch Hall – harassment, six liquor violations January, 2017

     Monach Hall – one theft report San Juan House – one liquor violation Summit Village – one “suspicious circumstance”

     None of the forementioned incidents were reported after the start of the spring semester

Incidents in surrounding area

Saturday, January 14

     What: Non-responsive male discovered dead inside camp. Active investigation.

     Where: 1200 Block of S. Nevada Ave.

     When: 2:01 p.m.

     What: Robbery – suspicious note passed to gas station customer noting possible gunman. Ruled a prank by police. Clerk charged with False Reporting.

     Where: 3290 Austin Bluffs Pkwy.

     When: 8:54 p.m. Tuesday, January 17

     What: Fire – Giovanni Ameneiro found at scene transported to hospital where he later died of injuries from carbon monoxide poisoning. Death ruled as suicide.

     Where: 2000 Block of Mount Washington Ave.

     When: 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, January 18

     What: Shooting – one adult male sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Victor Carter, perpetrator, was arrested on criminal attempt first degree murder.

     Where: 2700 Arlington Drive

     When: 11:28 a.m.
