PHOTOSPREAD | UCCS drops four-game series to CMU

The UCCS baseball team played Colorado Mesa University on April 19 and 20, as well as a doubleheader on April 21. The Mountain Lions finished 1-3 for the series, narrowly avoiding a sweep in their final game, 8-7. UCCS lost the first game 11-4, the second game 12-6 and the third game 8-5.

Infielder Caleb Stubbings, catcher Evan Steinberger and outfielder Kasey Campbell all recorded two hits during the second game.

During the doubleheader, outfielder Mason Pastorello, outfielder Hayden Iverson and outfielder Kit Wigington finished with three hits in total on the day.

Up next, the Mountain Lions will play at home on April 26 against Adams State in a four-game series that will conclude on April 28. UCCS will then travel to Golden to play Colorado School of Mines on May 3 in another four-game series.
