Have you ever found yourself trying to learn a new language? For those of us who only speak one, it can be a lot of hard work. But what if you could automatically speak one language of your choice? You could use it to communicate with family, friends, fictional characters or just for fun.
The Scribe staff share the languages they want to be fluent in.

Italian! It seems ridiculously difficult to learn and I’m too lazy to download Duolingo.

I would say Spanish for sure. A lot of my family members speak Spanish and English, and I think it would be nice to speak with them in both languages.

I think I would be fluent in German because I like to sing in German and it would be nice to know what I’m saying.

I was going to say Spanish just because it’s probably the most practical, BUT since Mandarin is one of the hardest, I would pick that since it’s automatic and I wouldn’t have to learn.

I would be fluent in Spanish because it’s very useful in many jobs. I have been in situations where I’m speaking with someone who doesn’t have English as their primary language and speak Spanish instead. It was hard to help them because we couldn’t understand each other, so I want to be fluent in Spanish to be able to help more people.

I have a real answer and a silly answer. The real answer is French. I’m currently learning the language and it would be incredible to be able to speak it properly (I always sound like a cheap knock-off whenever I attempt pronunciation). It’s such a beautiful language, and I would love to be able to go to France and find my way around easily. The silly answer is Klingon, a language from Star Trek. It’s actually a functional language, so it would be cool to use it and sound intimidating as I eat my gagh and sit back with my bat’leth.

I would want to be fluent in Spanish because it’s one of the most spoken languages on the planet. Once you know Spanish, other Latin-based languages can be learned from connections.

I would love to be able to talk to bees fluently. Apparently, they communicate through dance, and it would be fun to have a serious conversation while busting a move.

Danish! My best friend here is Danish, so I would love to be able to speak with her in her native language!

Spanish is the only responsible answer. I work at a Mexican restaurant, and I want to know what all the cooks are yapping about all the time.
