In the face of declining enrollment rates, UCCS administration has proposed a campus facelift to bring in prospective students. Well, a face transplant.
Administration sent out an email to students to receive feedback on a new facet of the UCCS Branding Project on March 31. The idea to have UCCS wear a CU Boulder skinsuit has received an outpour of support thus far.
Taking a page out of the Mr. Pibb playbook, administration is hoping that it can catch confused stragglers looking for CU Boulder whose attention spans prevent them from reading past “CU.”
“If we drape the entire campus in a printed sheet with a picture of CU Boulder on it, we may be able to increase our enrollment by at least 40,” said vice chancellor for strategic initiatives, Pobin Rarent.
The rebranding project is set to include a name change for the university from UCCS to “CU Colorado Springs,” a cardboard prop of the Flatirons and strategically littered BORGs along the Upper Spine.
