Baseball
On Feb. 6, sophomore pitcher Bailey Hansen was name RMAC Pitcher of the Week. Hansen gave up one run on two hits as he struck out four batters during the game, which the team won 8-3 during the team’s Feb. 2-4 opener.
The team will play at home against the University of Nebraska at Kearney and Wayne State University Feb. 16-18.
Men’s Basketball
Senior Justin Smith was named to the RMAC Men’s Basketball All-Academic First Team on Feb. 8. Smith has maintained a 3.667 cumulative GPA while ranking third on the team with 10.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
Three members of the team made it on the Honorable Mention List: sophomore Geoff Kelly with a 4.0 GPA; sophomore Padiet Wang with a 3.7 GPA; and senior Ryan Van Pelt with a 3.65 GPA.
The team will start their last home games against Metro State on Feb. 17.
Women’s Basketball
On Feb. 8, the RMAC Women’s Basketball All-Academic teams were announced. Junior Kelly O’Flannigan and sophomore Madi Gaibler were both named to the Honorable Mention List.
O’Flannigan has maintained a 3.822 cumulative GPA and is second on the team in assists. Gaibler has maintained a 3.427 cumulative GPA and is shooting about 33 percent from the field while averaging 5.2 points per game.
The team will start their final home games against Metro State on Feb. 17.
Track and Field
The track and field teams competed in the Boulder Invitational Feb. 2-3. Members of both teams earned provisional times and marks.
For the women, sophomore Kayla Wooten earned a provisional time of 4:58.69 in the mile. Senior Molly Klotz earned a provisional time of 2:13.32 in the 800m. Freshman Kayla Zink earned her provisional time of 7.62 seconds in the 60m.
On the men’s side, freshman Cameron Wright earned a provisional height in the pole vault with a height of 4.85m. Freshman Caleb Simons earned a provisional time of 48.16 seconds in the 400m.
The teams will compete in the Air Force Open on Feb. 17.
