Two earn RMAC men’s soccer honors
Two members of the men’s soccer team earned weekly conference honors last week.
Senior midfielder Blake Barnes was named Offensive Player of the Week with six points, including two goals and two assists, after he assisted on the first two goals against Fort Lewis. Barnes concluded the team’s game against Colorado Mesa on Oct. 8 with two penalty kicks, wining the game 3-1.
Senior goalkeeper David Meyer was awarded Goalkeeper of the Week, after being credited with five saves in both the Fort Lewis and Colorado Mesa fames.
The team will play against CSU-Pueblo at 7 p.m. on Oct. 18 at Mountain Lions Stadium
Men’s golf earns second-place finish at RMAC Fall Event
The men’s golf team came in No. 2 at the RMAC Fall Event at the Hillcrest Golf Club on Oct. 10 following a pair of top-three individual performances.
Senior Colin Prater finished in No. 2 with a 3-under 139 and finished in his fifth top-three finish in the last seven tournaments.
Redshirt sophomore Tanner Comes tied for No. 3 with a 2-under 140 and led the team in the second round with a 68.
The team will compete in the Otter Fall Invitational on Oct. 17 in Seaside, California to finish out their fall schedule.
6v6 volleyball, 5v5 floor hockey
Students can register to play in the 6v6 volleyball and 5v5 floor hockey tournaments on Oct. 18.
