Student Life is offering free tickets to an upcoming professional soccer game, where Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC are set to take on Detroit City — the two teams’ first match-up of the season.
The home game is set to take place Saturday, Sept. 10, at Weidner Field in downtown Springs following three 1-0 home wins for the team in recent weeks. The Switchbacks sit third in the USL Championship Western Conference.
Student Life is offering free tickets to a limited number of students who RSVP for this Saturday’s matchup. “We’re giving out free tickets to give back to commuters and get them out there,” said Haylie Crosby, who works at Student Life as a student activities assistant.
All students are eligible to sign up for these tickets through Mountain Lion Connect. These free tickets are limited and are being handed out on a first-come-first-serve basis. Students who secure a ticket will have to coordinate their own transportation to Weidner Field at 111 W. Cimarron Street.
