The luckiest days of 2022, according to the planets

If lately you’ve been feeling like you could use a stroke of luck, then have I got good news for you. From Feb. 13 through Feb. 22 Jupiter, the planet of luck and abundance, is making a rare beneficial sextile aspect to Uranus, the planet of revolution, rebellion and all things unexpected.

When Jupiter and Uranus get together, just about anything is possible. After all, Jupiter is the planet of fortune and Uranus is the planet of unpredictable events and trends.

Luckily — and I do mean luckily — Jupiter sextile Uranus is not a tense transit. In astrology, a sextile aspect occurs when two or more planets are 60°, or two signs, apart. And, as this article from LiveAbout points out, the sextile can bring positive opportunities for growth.

When Jupiter and Uranus come together this way, the two planets bring tons of opportunities for growth: business opportunities, a heightened enthusiasm for travel and an urgent need for freedom, etc. So, don’t be surprised if you find yourself booking trips to unknown destinations or binge watching NatGeo (whatever your budget allows) just so you can feel free for a little while.

In traditional (i.e. ancient) astrology, Jupiter is known as the great benefic. In plain English, this means the planet brings blessings up the wazoo. And Uranus can be thought of as the “Aha!” planet, because it can inspire sudden insight or epiphanies about, well, anything. And when buddying up with Jupiter, the planet of expansion, these epiphanies could turn out to be major ones.

With Jupiter sextile Uranus, you can expect your third eye to open to possibilities that you may have previously ignored. There’s an anticipatory feeling that anything can happen, which is actually how it will eventually happen. (It’s called manifestation and it works. Just ask Lizzo.)

According to Astrology.com, with Jupiter sextile Uranus transit you could also crave stimulation (because, you know, there’s so much excitement in the air), but you should be careful not to bombard yourself with too much information. Or else you might get overwhelmed.

Still, the earth-minded energy of Uranus in Taurus should have a grounding effect on Jupiter in Pisces, making it all the easier to bring our wildest dreams to fruition.

According to AstrologyKing.com, “Jupiter sextile Uranus transit makes you eager for positive changes in your life. You should have good fortune, freedom, and opportunities to make your life more exciting and interesting. This is a good time to tackle difficult tasks that have caused frustration or limitations in the past.”

The website also says this transit makes investment opportunities more fortunate than usual. While windfalls are not uncommon with this transit, that doesn’t mean you should invest in a lottery ticket thinking you’ll win the jackpot. (Seriously, the odds are too high.) It does, however, mean that if you take a risk, it could — and I mean could — render a higher reward.

Now, Jupiter sextile Uranus does not automatically guarantee a major lottery win. But there are several non-monetary perks of the transit: an abundance of inspiration, optimism, inventiveness, heightened anticipation, a sense that something big is around the corner and feeling aligned with the universe.

Jupiter sextile Uranus can steer our lives in a more favorable direction we might not ordinarily consider — if we let it. Our eagerness for new opportunities should not be ignored. In fact, it’s a good idea to use the transit’s surge of optimism and excitement to do things you wouldn’t ordinarily do. Why? Because you can’t grow or change unless you’re willing to take risks.

The really great news about the transit? It’s not just lasting one day! Jupiter and Taurus will be close to each other from Feb. 13 through Feb. 22. However, it’s only on Feb. 17 that the two planets align exactly at 11°. Be sure to find where 11° Pisces and 11° Taurus are in your chart to know where Jupiter and Uranus are and which areas of your life the two planets will impact.
