Riley Stanton, junior, communication major

Do you think “The Hunger Games” trilogy deserves a prequel? Is it too much?

“Yes! I have been rooting for one. I think it is needed. There were so many characters and we need more exploration of them.”

What would you hope to see in a prequel?

“Haymitch’s Games or Finnick and Annie’s love story.”

Were you satisfied with the trilogy’s end?

“Yes, I think it was tied up nicely. There were certain things I was upset about and certain deaths I disagreed with, but I read the series four times before even watching the movie.

Rainy Taylor, freshman, criminal justice major

Were you aware of a “The Hunger Games” prequel?

“No but thank God! I used to watch the movie every night and it annoyed my mom.”

What would you hope to see in a prequel?

“I would like to know why they started the Games—like why the hell would someone do that. Whose idea was that to have teenagers fight each other?”

Will you read it or wait for the movie?

“I do not like reading so I will wait for the movie to come out.”

Brayan Montes De Oca, freshman, nursing major Were you aware of a “The Hunger Games” prequel?

“Yes, I found out on Instagram, because I follow their official page.”

What would you hope to see in a prequel?

“Maybe President Snow’s backstory or more about District 13’s president.”

Were you satisfied with the trilogy’s end?

“Yes, but I wanted more. Like, to see 10 years into the future. I think [Suzanne Collins] will continue writing about it, because she has options.”
