The RMAC Championship meet returned to Colorado Springs for the first time in 15 years.
In their own backyard, the women’s team finished second and the men’s team finished fourth.
With the RMAC being one of the most prestigious conferences in Division II for cross-country, both finishes going towards securing a spot for the Mountain Lions in the national meet.
The women’s team had six runners finishing inside the top 25, with freshman Elizabeth McQuitty leading the charge with a sixth-place finish.
The men’s team had three runners inside the top 25, with their best performance coming from junior Brett Davis with a 22nd-place finish.
The Mountain Lions now look forward to the South-Central Regional Championship, which will be hosted in Pueblo, CO on Saturday, Nov. 8.
The women’s 6K will begin at 10 a.m. and the men’s 10K will begin at 11:15 a.m.
The top three teams in this meet will automatically qualify for the National Championship meet in Kenosha, WI on Nov. 22.
