The UCCS Women’s Volleyball team is currently in its 35th year. The team began in the fall of 1986, making it one of the first sports teams to begin at UCCS.
Since then, the volleyball team has produced 14 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) tournament appearances and one national tournament appearance.
The team has had no conference championships.
Two players have gone on to become all-Americans: Nikki Kinzer for the 2012 season and Taylor Hamilton for the 2017 season. One player has gone on to play professional volleyball: Cindy Bathelt, in 2012, went to play for the Aprilia Volleyball Club in Rome.
